Creating Cultural Swag In Our Youth

Ease

November 13, 2010

When we take action from that place of peace, ease and flow, life is fun, exciting, and filled with opportunity.  If you’re a student in high school find that place of peaceful, easy, flow.  Get involved with something that lights you up inside.  We all need fulfillment in our lives.  We take all actions in life around seeking satisifaction and fullfillment.  However, we often confuse fullfilment with temporary desire.  The urgency of all this stuff that is around us has us spinning, twisting, dazed and confused, then we choose something obvious.  The predictable patterns of experimenting with drugs, sex, and alcohol.  These options are easily accessible and to the external view very captivating.  If we look deeper, and take our time more fulfilling and rewarding options come are way like that cool relaxing breeze on an Autumn day.  Ease is the word that we all can have.  It’s important to practice ease in your daily life.  Ease has nothing to do with circumstances around you.  You might have drama surrounding you, living in it, stuck on it, stranded on an island of misery, suffering, and hatred.  If you sit alone and reflect on how amazing you are, in that moment the ease will come. The first step to finding ease, is having the courage, and self -confidence to sit alone.  There is beauty, purpose, and freedom in all of us.  The ease releases all of our creative energy that allows us to participate, contribute, and make a difference in life.  Ease is the power to generate and produce that inner sweet feeling that is waiting to show up throughout our lives on a daily basis.  My life is filled with ease, but it takes a daily commitment and practice to release and unleash the ease that’s within me.  Yesterday I became frustrated, sad, and embarrassed about being late on the rent the second month in a row.  The landlord left  a message asking when it will be paid.  My mind became a sea of negative thoughts of; it’s your fault, your a failure, you can’t take care of your family, etc… Then the thoughts turn into a mood, a voice tone, and you take action from those negative thoughts.  My beautiful wife Venaya said,” what’s wrong.”  I said”I’m feeling moody right now.”  I accepted my state of being in the moment, which means it’ s my responsibility to go cultivate , some ease.  I turned on the computer and checked the bank account to see what  money was available, and what money would be coming in.  No ease found in my finances that’s for sure.  The next move came from that place of acceptance.  I can give the landlord this amount of money, until the rest comes in.  My wife and I briefly spoke about the situation, and I moved to my power source the mitochondria of reading and writing in my journal.  I read this article about all humans have capital that no law, government, or corporation can take away.   Human capital is th innovation to make something great, exceptional, and amazing from the simple but fascinating place called you!  My thoughts focused on all the workshops, and great speeches that I’ve given to inspire the youth.  I felt ease about knowing where I’m headed and gratitude for all my experiences including mistakes which are helping me grow, develop, and really bring forth my talents and gifts to the world.  Circumstances happen, but you can still take action from a place of ease.  Find that ease in your life, then fullfilment, beauty, and your purpose will take you on an amazing journey, so be ready.
